Unveiling Seamless Journeys
In my recent overhaul of the Sacramento Regional Transit digital experience, I took on the challenge of transforming a neglected system into a user-centric platform. The existing dissatisfaction among users led to a decline in ridership and discontent among current passengers. So I decided to fix it as one of my projects studying for Bethel Tech.
Analyzing the Digital Despair
With 19.6k forum interactions, 500+ reviews, 4 interviews, and 2 case studies, the depth of user dissatisfaction became evident. The research phase focused on unraveling insights and creating detailed personas to understand the unique needs of the diverse user base.
Navigating the Digital Maze
The solution aimed to streamline the user journey, minimizing input while maximizing efficiency. User flows were meticulously designed to guide users to their destinations with the least amount of effort, addressing the core problem faced by Sacramento Regional Transit users.
Blueprint of Transformation
The information architecture was redesigned to align with user expectations, providing a clear and intuitive navigation structure. Throughout the design phases, usability insights were continuously integrated to refine the user experience.
Crafting a Unified Experience
The style guide served as a visual anchor, ensuring a cohesive and branded appearance across the platform. This meticulous attention to design elements contributed to an aesthetically pleasing and user-friendly interface.
Final Product Breakdown
The culmination of efforts resulted in a branded Google Slides or Keynote presentation, meticulously telling the story of the concept and final solution. Each aspect, from the challenge identification to the user flows and style guide, was showcased to communicate the transformative journey.
Interactive Vision
To bring the concept to life, a click-through prototype was created, allowing stakeholders to navigate the envisioned digital experience firsthand. This interactive demonstration highlighted the seamless transitions and intuitive design elements, providing a tangible preview of the final product.
